We live in a world where technology has transformed how information is used, which is sometimes used as a weapon to incite hatred between different groups. This often happens through the spread of misinformation and fake news, which reinforce existing biases and deepen divisions within communities. In this workshop, we will introduce the concept of hate speech , present the “Pyramid of Hate.” Together, we will discuss strategies to counter hate speech , illustrate how Hate Speech is represented in Morocco and its legal framework alongside reflecting on real-life scenarios to better detect its roots and effects.
