The “From Student to Entrepreneur” workshop series is an intensive, transformative program designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world entrepreneurial success. Over eight comprehensive weeks, participants will embark on a dynamic journey of personal and professional development, gaining the critical skills, knowledge, and mindset necessary to launch and sustain successful entrepreneurial ventures.

Program Objectives

The two month workshop series aims to:

Week 1-2: Introduction to Entrepreneurship

    Introduction to the basics of entrepreneurship, idea generation, and identifying business opportunities.
Week 3-4: Leadership Foundations
  1. “Developing a Leadership Mindset”
    Focus on self-awareness, personal development, and the key traits of effective leaders.
  2. “Building Emotional Intelligence for Leaders”
    Learn how to manage emotions, build empathy, and communicate effectively in leadership roles.
Week 5-6: Practical Business Skills
  1. “Mastering Time Management for Entrepreneurial Success”
    Techniques to manage time effectively while balancing academic and business responsibilities.
  2. “Financial Literacy for Entrepreneurs”
    Understanding budgeting, financial planning, and cash flow management for new businesses.
Week 7-8: Advanced Leadership & Business Strategies
  1. “Innovative Problem Solving and Design Thinking”
    Using creative approaches to tackle business challenges and drive innovation.
  2. “Pitching Your Business Idea Like a Pro”
    Learn how to develop and deliver compelling business pitches to potential investors or partners.
Week 9-10: Collaborative Projects and Networking
  1. “Building High-Performing Teams”
    Learn how to create and lead effective teams, delegate tasks, and resolve conflicts.
  2. “Networking Strategies for Career and Business Growth”
    Techniques for building meaningful relationships that can support your leadership and entrepreneurial journey.
Week 11-12: Final Project and Presentation
  1. “Final Project: Business Plan Development & Pitch Day”
    Students will work on a business plan for a startup idea, applying all the skills learned during the workshops, and present their pitch to a panel of judges (could include mentors, entrepreneurs, and professors).
